Vivi Octovia was born in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and began her musical journey by playing an acoustic guitar at 13. She actively played music in the school event and church band. She is then pursuing her studies in the Foundation of Science (Matriculation College) and still actively participating in the music club as a guitarist. Afterwards, she decided to pursue her studies in Bachelor Degree of Education (Music) with Honors.
Vivi was enthusiastically participating in the university and faculty music events such as convocation orchestras and final year concerts as a clarinetist during her studies. She was also doing her Teaching Internship in one of the secondary public schools (SMK Bandar Baru Sentul) as a four-month music teacher. She was in charge of the traditional music ensemble practices, gamelan and angklung, and escorted the students to several competitions in four-month times.
Vivi is now teaching music, both conceptual and instrumental (Keyboard), at Fairview International School.
