Steven was born and bred in the beautiful land below the wind-Sabah, Malaysia, and is currently pursuing the Doctorate of Education, specialising in Music Research and Chinese Dulcimer Education. He is currently a Chinese Dulcimer tutor at few music academies.
Throughout his musical career, he has organised few recital solo concerts and fund-raising throughout Malaysia. The funds are channeled to temples and secondary schools as part of their scholarship for the under privileged students.
Apart from that, he was specially invited to judge few instrument musical solo competitions, travelling to Indonesia and Thailand to perform as well as to share his knowledge in music. On top of these, Steven was a guest performer on one of Malaysia’s reputable radio station, AI FM, to introduce and demonstrate Chinese Dulcimer performance.
Steven is a proud recipient of the Art Award from Chung’s Association in recognition of his contributions to the music industry.
