Jiayao Sun completed a Master of Music Studies in Opera Performance under the tuition of Dr Maree Ryan at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney in 2017. She completed a Bachelor of Music in Voice study under the Professor Alan Bennett at The Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore.
Roles performed include: Dorabella (Mozart, Cosi fan tutte), Summer, Mystery, Autumn and Don the attendants (Purcell, The Fairy Queen), Diana (Cavalli, La Calisto), Sorceress (Purcell, Dido and Aeneas). In 2017 she performed in the Th ady (Mozart, Die Zauberlote) of Opera Australia and Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Jiayao was awarded The full scholarship 4 years full time study in National University of Singapore. During her studies at The Sydney Conservatorium, Jiayao was awarded Helen Myers Scholarship 10000$, Patricia Lucas Music Achievement Scholarship 5000$ and Sydney Conservatorium of Music Scholarship 5000$.
Other recent achievement include winning First place 2000$ of the 2019 Warrnambool Eisteddfod Aria Competition and Second price 500$ of Boroondara Eisteddfod Aria competition in 2019. First place 800$ of Operatic Aria/Germen Lieder/Secret song sections of the 2019 Latrobe Valley Competition. Vocal special awards of Judy Reid Vocal Aggregate in Latrobe Valley competition in 2019. Third place of Art song/ Lieder section of the 2019 La trobe Valley competition. Third place of Diamond Valley competition in 2019. First place$500 of Lieder section and third place $300 of the 2020 Boroondara Eisteddfod.

Yi Ling holds her bachelor degree from Birmingham Conservatoire (UK) as vocal and operatic performance singer and completed master degree at the Kodály Institute of Franz Liszt Academy of Music (Hungary) as Kodály expert in music education.
During her studies in England, Yi Ling won gold medals for opera and lieder category in North London Music and Drama Festival (UK), Ella Ceshire Soprano Scholarship (UK), Margaret Pascoe Singing Award (UK), 1st Prize for Alpin Triglav International Competition (Slovenia), 2nd Prize for ISCART International Competition (Switzerland), 1st Prize Joseph Weingarten Competition (Hungary & UK) for full scholarship in her Kodály education in Hungary. She also passed with the highest marks record of recent year for the entrance examination to the Kodály Institute. YiLing also scored three consecutive top marks (Grade 8, ATCL, and LTCL) in Trinity College of London performance examinations and was given Awards of Excellence.
